Performance within Spells and Potions, translating its hosted encounters into a performative and narrative form
Anarco-mistical Herstories (Historias Anarco-misticas) is a performance that emerges from the research developed in Conjuros y Colocones, engaging with embodied knowledge, care practices, and alternative forms of healing.
The piece draws on narratives, conversations, and texts developed through the encounters at Metzineres, shelter for women who use drugs and survive violences, where experiences related to drug use, pleasure, dependency, and survival are shared and transformed. These materials move between testimony, fiction, and ritual language, forming the basis of the performance.
Through voice and performative narration, the work stages fragments of these narratives, assembling them into a non-linear structure. Rather than representing individual stories, the performance constructs a symbolic space in which voices intersect, overlap, and resonate.
The dramaturgy follows a ritual and narrative logic, translating collective experiences into an authored performative structure. In this process, language becomes both material and action, producing a space where knowledge is not explained but enacted.
The performance was developed in close dialogue with the Metzineres context context and presented as part of the broader project, in connection with its other forms, including Oracles, installation, and participatory activations.
